This is a nice kennel and I get to go in a big play yard with other doggies during the day. That's a lot of fun. I like to play. Ms. Debbie comes to visit me too. She brought me my heartworm medicine the other day and had to give me two because I'm so big. She says I weigh 115lbs!! Ms. Debbie wants me to go a home with a secure fence and someone that can handle a big boy like me. See me in the kennel here. I learned a new Irish saying today: "Why should you never iron a 4-leaf clover? You don't want to press your luck."

O'Malley

Hi ya folks! My name is O'Malley. Why do I have an Irish name considering I am an "Alaskan" Malamute you're probably thinking? Well there's these women who thought I needed an Irish name because I was born on St. Patricks Day! Geez. I guess good thing I wasn't born on Valentine's Day, I would be named Valentino or something.

What's my story? Well I had owners who decided one day they didn't want me and my sister anymore so they took us to a boarding kennel and never came back for us. Pretty sad huh. I thought so too. This man took pity on us and took us out of there and took us home with him. Problem is he already had a ton of other dogs he's brought home with him too. So he started to look for homes for us. My sister find one quick. Girls always get so lucky. Then he found me a home for 2 hours! What happened after 2 hours? These people took me to the Humane Society and dropped me off. Well turns out I'm microchipped; they call my owner; my owner tells them to call the boarding kennel; the boarding kennel called the man who took pity on us. Boy that was a mouth full! Anyways the man came back and got me. He said the shelter was no place for me. While he was there getting me back, they told him about the Texas Alaskan Malamute Rescue. They said they could help him. So the man calls and gets Ms. Debbie. Ms. Debbie comes out to see me and take pictures. She was nice and couldn't believe I'm so big. I thought I was pretty petite myself but ok whatever she says. Look at my pictures here.

Back to name, my original owners called me Quincy. The man who took pity on us called me Buck. And now these women re-named O'Malley. Isn't there some saying "If you're lucky enough to be Irish, then you're lucky enough to have 3 names?"
